Paid 3-week sprint - Intensive US government data investigation
Centorum is hiring a small number of exceptional developers for a technical sprint, running May 26th to Jun 12th. Remote; targeting students. Application deadline Sunday 24th @ 5PM ET.
THE PROJECT
Complete a national investigation across roughly $5T of government transactions and dozens of complex public registries – with the findings feeding into national media, public recognition, a government outreach campaign, and genuine government reform.
COMPANY
We are an NFX-backed US GovTech startup building pre-payment controls for government finance. Our platform vets contracts, purchase orders, and invoices to end the annual $203Bn in improper payments to vendors before taxpayer money leaves the door.
SCOPE INCLUDES
Building autonomous data-processing pipelines, extending Centorum's analysis engine for large-scale public-data investigation, designing checks that account for false positives and data-quality failures, and using systems architecture, LLM orchestration, and investigative judgement to extract defensible signal from fragmented government datasets.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Candidates with exceptional technical ability, strong independent judgement, analytical intuition, experience building ambitious projects quickly and precisely, and a genuine desire to grapple with impossible problems.
COMPENSATION
$3,000 – 6,000 for the 3-week sprint, depending on cohort size and individual scope of ownership. If fit is very positive, there may be a path to founding engineer or technical leadership roles (with no obligation on either side upon sprint completion).
