No two people have exactly the same idea of perfect government. Some want it to stay out of the way - tax and spend as little as possible, and leave people and the markets be. Others want it to actively shape society - through intervention in the economy, supporting social programs, and spending on development. But one thing is self-evident: whatever the people have chosen, whatever their leaders have pledged to enact, whatever the government has declared itself to be doing - that should be, in practice, where the money actually goes.
Unfortunately, nothing could be further from reality.
Sometimes due to genuine fraud, sometimes due to human error, but often due to the natural fact that this is a burdensome, complex problem requiring constant and proactive attention - and the impossibility of providing this attention with finite financial and human resources - government leaks $XBn annually in improper payments.
This has been the case for decades. Only now is there a solution accurate, cost-effective, and scalable enough to reduce that number to $0.
Before studying Computer Science and Philosophy at Oxford, Adam spent time in London governments - leading a sweeping efficiency initiative, deploying AI across public sector systems, and understanding exactly how, where, and why government payment failures occur. An American with experience building complex AI products, research pipelines, and software in regulated spaces, he is perfectly suited to apply this intuition on government to the complexities of US state and federal bureaucracies.
A talented computer scientist, Megan chose to study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford after experiences at think tanks and the UK parliament, with the conviction that human systems govern the world. Merging her understanding of political incentives and societal behaviour, her technical background, and her experiences in the financial industry puts her in an ideal position to leverage AI to end improper payments across government.
Together, they form the ideal team to transform government into the most efficient aspect of society, and put fiscal control back in the hands of those who should wield it - the leaders responsible for how government runs, and ultimately, the people for whom they work.
